Mike Woods
Senior Project Manager
Mike Woods is very busy, again. He approached PLACE designers inc, after taking some time off to work on some of his other projects and travel. We are extremely thankful for his decision. Mike’s experience and talent is evident when viewing his resume which includes a wide range of projects with budgets up to $72 million. When young, his grandmother would paint with him, and he often worked alongside his grandfather, a carpenter. That combination surely played into Mike deciding to become an architect when he was 8 years old. After graduating from Texas A&M University in 1978, he went right to work and rose up in responsibilities and projects. Being a Master Architect, Mike brings a wealth of technical knowledge to the team. These days he spends most weekends at a Victorian house he restored in Galveston. While there, he will hit the beach with his 6-year-old grandson, teaching him how to surf and playing gold. He is a great example of what PLACE designers inc offers. Wonderful work opportunities and time to do what is important to each member.
